A temperature sensor arrangement (10), including a bandgap voltage generator (12), which is configured to provide an output voltage (V.sub.bg); at least one semiconductor junction (14) for temperature sensing, which is biased by a biasing current flowing through said semiconductor junction (14); and at least one poly-resistor (R.sub.b3) which is connected between the output (23) of the bandgap voltage generator (12) and the semiconductor junction (14), thereby providing said biasing current from the bandgap voltage generator (12) to the semiconductor junction (14).

A bandgap reference circuit includes a bandgap reference core circuit that includes a first bipolar transistor having a first emitter current density and a first base-emitter voltage, a second bipolar transistor having a second emitter current density that is smaller than the first emitter current density and having a second base-emitter voltage, a resistor that is connected to the emitter of the second bipolar transistor, and a differential amplifier circuit that is configured to control first and second emitter currents through the first and second bipolar transistors, respectively, such that a sum of the second base-emitter voltage and a voltage drop across the resistor approximates the first base-emitter voltage. The bandgap reference circuit further includes a first replica bipolar transistor that emulates an operating point of the first bipolar transistor and a second replica bipolar transistor that emulates an operating point of the second bipolar transistor.

A voltage reference circuit is disclosed comprising: a supply terminal; a ground terminal; a first current source and a Zener diode connected in series between the supply and ground terminals and having a first node therebetween and configured to supply a Zener voltage at the first node; an output node configured to provide a voltage reference; and a CTAT, circuit connected between the first node and the output node; wherein the CTAT circuit comprises: two bipolar transistors, having their respective emitters connected at a second node, and configured to, in operation, have equal collector-emitter currents, the base of the first bipolar transistor being connected to the first node, the base of the second bipolar transistor being connected to a centre node of a first voltage divider; and wherein the first voltage divider is connected between the emitter of the second bipolar transistor and the output node.

A core bandgap circuit comprises a main operational amplifier having a second order bowed voltage response over temperature. A ptat circuit is coupled to the core bandgap circuit to provide a sigmoidal third order shape for the bandgap voltage.
